The New Polestar 3 Is Polestar's First Real Flagship
Sure, the Polestar 1 was more expensive and sexier, but the Polestar 3 is the brand's first real flagship and the first model designed from the start to take the fight directly to the Germans. Wirth nearly 500 HP standard, a torque vectoring axle, wide tires, and massive brakes, the Polestar 3 is finally the Swedish answer to the Porsche Macan EV.

2025 Genesis GV80 Review | Genesis Ups Their Interior Game
Переглядів 17 тис.7 годин тому
With the refreshed Genesis GV80, Genesis continues to target the German, rather than the Japanese competition, and that makes a great deal of sense to me. Although Genesis still marches to a different drummer with the steering and suspension tuning on the GV80, that differing personality sort of splits the difference between a Lexus RX or Acura MDX and the Mercedes GLE or BMW X5, ad that's not ...
The 2025 Genesis GV80 Gets Some Important Updates

For 2025 Genesis has updated their popular GV80 SUV with more tech, more features, and some unique interior trim options. The bulk of the GV80 is the same, and that's just fine by me. Next week I'll be able to talk about how it drives, but until then... Let's take a walk around the SUV that I think is better than a Lexus RX... 2024 Subaru Solterra Review | Is It The Electric Forester You Asked For? Or An Electric Uh-Oh?
Переглядів 17 тис.21 годину тому
Subie's first EV is a bit of a head scratcher to be honest. It's priced well, the range is "OK" and charging speeds aren't far off the average for comparably priced EVs... On the other hand it lacks any kind of "wow" factor, aside from the ground clearance. Other EVs will charge faster, go further, accelerate quicker, etc. but few will have as much off road capability as the Subaru aside from H...

If you didn't know it, the Acura ZDX is Acura's co-developed luxury EV SUV that shares a great deal with the Cadillac Lyriq. It has Caddy's excellent Super Cruise system, but Acura's better dealer network... Join this channel to get access to perks! u...

On the inside we get a better appointed cabin, more tech, and SuperCruise! But most importantly, all of that will happen for thousands of dol...

Re the grand highlander, we tried it. But two things. First, I just found the seats or the seat well too narrow and uncomfortable. Second, quite simply, the grand highlander was almost 20% more expensive for comparable trims. Both the Pilot and the Telluride were around $44 k for mid-level trim. But the Grand Highlander was over $50 k. The regular highlander is more comparable in terms of price but I wouldn't buy the regular highlander due to poor 3rd row.

Alex, why don't you have Pilot in most of your comparisons ? I bought the 2024 Pilot. Two issues with the Telluride. First, you are forced to get Captains Chairs in all but the lowest trim levels. This makes it a 7 seater which is tough with 3 kids. (Who is forced to sit in the 3rd row ?). Second, the Telluride supposedly has the better Infotainment with 12 in screen and built in Navigation. However, it needs a wire. Pilot only has 9 in screen but wireless Android Auto and Apple Play which is more convenient.

Hey @kipamore 👋 your not the only one! I've been trying to convince manufacturers for six years they need to up the battery range on phevs. They should all have a minimum of 80-100 miles on battery! I drove a ford fusion energi w/25 miles of battery. Traded up to honda clarity phev w/42 miles of battery. It almost works but still i still use five gallon of gas a month except long trips. I think ram should have pushed the ramcharger to the head of the production line then put that drive train in a mid size suv and mid size truck 🤔 .

Just went to the showroom and the look and feel around this vehicle left me a better impression than other luxury EVs on the market. Of course I could not test it as test drives are open in August. Our main concern was tge size of the car boot but it easily fits 3 huge luggage (we did the test). The space at the back of the vehicle is very generous. No rear window not a problem. Only point is about the electrochrome glass roof top - never had this before and needs to see how it adapts to sunlight. That being said, the car looks very elegant inside with the nordic touch. Gonna order it next jweek ;)

A lot of folks saying it’s overpriced, but I don’t know - if it drives well, seems like it could be the modern take on the Jaguar I-PACE, and that thing is phenomenal! We have a Jaguar I-PACE EV as our daily driver. This replaced our 970 Panamera Turbo (both of which we bought used btw), a car that most ICE fans would probably agree is a pretty good daily driver in its own right. And I can honestly say the Jag is better in every single way. I don’t miss the Panamera one bit, neither does the wife. With the Jag, there’s no automatic transmission to get confused around town, never getting into a hot or cold car with preconditioning, there’s insane instant torque, the smoothness and refinement is unmatched (not only because no engine noise but also because the 1000 pound battery insulates you from road noise), the use of space is excellent (small on the outside and big on the inside because no engine), low center of gravity, naturally perfect weight distribution, being able to blow by anyone in traffic anytime, never being in the wrong gear, way more efficient, never being late because I had to stop for gas, no maintenance, quicker than most v8 family cars and more efficient than i-4 family cars, etc etc. And even though on paper the panamera was faster 0-60, in real life around town it’s not even close - the Jag would be gone before the panamera would even get into the right gear. Yes, it can be annoying on road trips - but it's not the end of the world unless you road trip all the time. It's the better car 364 days of the year, and the worse car 1 day of the year. Having said all of that, like I said I'm an enthusiast, and we also have two sports cars (manual transmission c7 corvette stingray and an R56 Mini Cooper JCW, both of which I frequently use for road rallys and autocross), and I have no desire for either of those to be electric. The whole point of those cars is a visceral, loud, lightweight, connected experience with a manual transmission. I know there is a Boxster EV coming soon and I’m sure it’ll be great and smoke my c7 around any racetrack, but I have no interest at all, even as a current EV owner. Sports cars should be gas powered and manual IMO. So as I said, each has their purpose. I don’t see myself ever going back to gas for daily driver, and I don’t see myself ever going EV for sports cars. My point is simple: EVs are better at some things, and gas cars are better at some things. "Taking a side" doesn't make sense, even for enthusiasts. Just acknowledge what the other is better at. EVs dont work for everyone (you need a place to charge and can't road trip all the time etc etc), but if it works in your lifestyle - try it before you knock it is all I'm saying. You might be surprised. And like I said - just because a car is EV doesn't make it good. There are good EVs and bad ones, just like gas cars. For example, I' not a huge Tesla fan. But, the well-executed EVs are, in my opinion, the best daily drivers, if they fit into your lifestyle. ...and this is coming from someone that's 37 years old and currently on his 8th manual transmission sports car (Vette, Mini JCW, 350Z, etc etc). And to be clear - these are my favorite cars, not the I-PACE. But, I have a wife and a kid, and we need something that isn't manual and has a back seat. And in that category, the Jag is by far and away the best we've had.

Stay away. Wife got the 2024 fully loaded cross sport atlas. Engine failure within 4 months of purchase (december 2023). Got truck back a few days ago and got the following message "Error: Drive system. Please service vehicle." This is AFTER dealer replaced the engine. Truck is back in the shop. Repeat, stay away!

Both the Polestar 3 and 4 are wildly overpriced. Surprising since it's built by cheap Chinese labour. No thanks Polestar.

I love when people compare these luxury performance evs to garbage like a hyundai ionic 5 Kia 6. Do you complain about Mercedes eqe prices? And compare them to a Mach e? No. You don’t. They are in totally different tiers This is going up against luxury performance evs. Of course it’s not going to be cheap. Go buy a Nissan leaf if you want to be cheap.

$50-80K for a car which cannot seat 5 adults comfortably, which does not have large trunk space, which relies on a camera to look behind - so you get more distracted while driving whereas a human eye can process with a quick glance at a mirror. You get yellow seat belts, a tablet on the dash for all that money. Good luck selling it. Please bring back Volvo station wagons - aka tanks - back at reasonable prices.

    1) I cannot believe CarPlay is "coming soon" on a vehicle being sold halfway through 2024. I remember when the Polestar 2 first went on sale they said the same thing and it took them 1.5 years to roll it out. Your reminder to never buy a vehicle for promised future updates. If you want CarPlay, don't buy one until it actually has it. 2) Price is almost a non-starter but I anticipate some enticing lease deals coming eventually. 3) At least it has physical vent controls 👍 and 4) I hate getting bit by ants! 😉

Just ordered my polestar 3 in US. I add all the packages except the Lidar package. The final price is $110,000. I think polestar worth it. I lt is a great looking car with fantastic drive experience, I drove my polestar 2 for three years and very satisfied. I recommend buyer try polestar lease options, very very good term. I leased for three years, 10,000 miles a year, no down payment and split the car tax to the three years, thr finak price onky $1535 a month, if you quote for the same price same monthly term, Tesla will charge $1920 a month, Mercedes will charge $2100 a month.
